Eco Volunteers needed!4 September 2023 (by Thelma Crawford (Principal)) |
Friends of Rosetta recently received an eco grant from Live Here Love Here, which will help fund a new biodiversity woodland in the school grounds. This will enhance Outdoor Learning, and encourage the children’s interest in biodiversity as well as providing a resource for years to come.
But before planting can begin, some clearing of the area along the entrance at the back gate (Knockbreda Park) needs to take place. Please join the team of willing volunteers on Saturday 9th September, 2-4.30pm. Lots of fun, tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided, you only need a strong back! Please bring any tools you have that could be useful. Children will be involved in the planting later on, but should not come on Saturday as the adults will be clearing the shrubby undergrowth and cannot provide adequate supervision.
If you have a few hours to volunteer your time, please register your interest to Joanna Johnston joannaharvey363@hotmail.com by Wednesday 5th.
