A parent contacted me concerned about social media reports on changes to the RSE (Relationships and Sexuality Education) curriculum. Currently there are NO changes in the primary curriculum, there will be a consultation in 2024 and DE will then issue new guidance to schools after it has taken place. Rosetta Board of Governors discussed this last week and agreed that Rosetta's RSE policy will be reviewed after new guidance is issued. Parents will be consulted and fully informed as part of the policy review process. The curriculum talks taking place in school next week are to inform parents of day to day matters like PE kit, homework expectations, World Around Us topics etc.
